Biperiden hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt of biperiden. A muscarinic antagonist affecting both the central and peripheral nervous systems, it is used in the treatment of all forms of Parkinson's disease. It has a role as a muscarinic antagonist, a parasympatholytic and an antiparkinson drug. It is a hydrochloride, a member of piperidines and a tertiary alcohol. It contains a biperiden.
